Doc and Sue have been members of the Aberdeen community for most of their lives. They have volunteered for many years with the Aberdeen Senior Rugby League, Sue being the announcer at home ground matches and Doc assisting at the gate as well as many years as the first aider.

For 13 years Doc, assisted Sue behind the scenes, organised the Aberdeen ANZAC Day Services for the town as well as holding services at Aberdeen Public School and reading relevant ANZAC stories to children at Aberdeen Preschool.

Volunteer work by Doc and Sue is evident throughout Aberdeen. For 18 years Doc was the annual ‘Santa’ for Aberdeen Preschool. In 2018 Doc helped out with sport at St Joseph’s High School by teaching bowls to students on sports day. He is also a willing volunteer whenever called upon by Aberdeen Little Athletics to put the ‘finishing touches’ to new structures at Jefferson Park.

Doc and Sue are always on hand whenever anyone or any group from the local community need assistance. Both are highly valued members of the Aberdeen community.
