Vets Golf Australia Day

TWENTY-EIGHT Vets celebrated Australia Day with a stroke and putting event at Aberdeen.

The course is in tip-top condition for us each month thanks to the work of Doug Dowell and his helpers like Peter Daunton.

The winner with 61 nett was Bob Thorley.

Second was Rod Auld 62, third Carey Wallace 63 and 4th Peter Daunton 66.

In the ball comp balls went to Paul Constable 67, thanks Paul for processing our cards each week, Brian Dever and Jim Elder 68, Phil Ledgerwood and Terry Mitchell 70, Graham Guest and Jeff McKeon 71, Doug Dowell 72 and Christine Smith 74.

Best scratch score: Rod Auld 74.  The putting wine, kindly donated by the Aberdeen Golf Club, went to Terry Mitchell with 25 putts.

On Tuesday, February 2 we travel to Murrurundi for a stableford event.

On Tuesday, February 9 we have a stableford event at Scone.

Hit-offs 8am till 8.30 or 8.15 for shot gun starts.

Don’t forget we are hosting the Henbury visit on Tuesday, February 23 at Muswellbrook.

Cost $25 p.p. to treasurer Bob Minch for the golf and lunch as soon as possible.
