20140514Golf01TODAY there was cloud early on, some showers and then sunny conditions experienced by 29 veterans at Scone Golf Club for a stableford event on Tuesday, February 9.

The course is in fine order and we appreciate the delicious lunch menu provided by Carly.

Terry Mitchell played some fine golf to win with 41 points from Rod Upton 40 second.

Mal Bruce maintained his fine form with 39 for 3rd and Wayne Murphy 38 was 4th.

In the ball comp balls went to Gerrit De Boer and Phil Ledgerwood 37, Jock O’Connor 36, Len Stanley 35, captain Max Holz and Graham Guest 34, Graham Turvey and Bob Minch 33 and Rod Auld 32.

Nearest the Pins: 2nd Bob Lawman, 8th Wayne Murphy, 11th Max Holz and 17th Phil Ledgerwood.

On Tuesday, February 16 we play a stroke with putting event at Aberdeen with hit-off from 8am till 8.30.

On Tuesday, February 23 we play against our visitors all the way from Henbury, at Muswellbrook with a shot-gun start at about 8.30am.

Could everyone please bring some cakes, scones or slices for the travellers to have morning tea when they arrive.

Pay the $25 p.p. to Bob Minch by Tuesday, 16th February please so we can finalise the draw.
