THE Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre has partnered with the Scone Library to secure a painting workshop with Wonnarua artist Michelle Earl on July 10 for the local community.

Lee Watts, manager of the Centre said they were excited to secure the funding for the workshop as part of their NAIDOC (National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee) week celebrations.

“Michelle teaches Aboriginal culture and will share stories from her culture throughout the workshop where people can paint wooden boomerangs,” said Ms Watts.

“The workshop is free and we are expecting a strong response, so we recommend people book early,” Lee Watts said.
