The ambulances were travelling back from Parkville where the young woman had fallen from a horse and were delayed on Kelly Street as the train rambled through wasting precious minutes.

It is not an uncommon scenario, but one that has locals outraged.

Lee Watts, who posted it on her facebook page, is frustrated by the wait for the overpass.

“It is just so frustrating that we are still fighting for a solution for this,” she said.

“It has been years since we were promised we would have an overpass and it is tied up in so much red tape and all the while we have our emergency services, trying to transport critically ill people being stopped, it’s just not good enough anymore,” Lee Watts said.

Joel Fitzgibbon the federal member for Upper Hunter also posted the image on his Facebook page stating “This is why Scone’s overpass should have been built by now. I secured the $45 million three years ago.”
