This Week’s Goes To…

Filed in Recent News by January 17, 2016

THE ‘Word on the Street’ will be run each week and the person who gives scone.com.au the best news lead or news photo will receive $50.

We have not even been running for a full week yet, but this news lead has already attracted 1,561 readers to the story and reached 10,366 people on Facebook and counting.

The person who gave us the lead was Alyshia Kelaher, who happened to mention a parking issue with the RMS at Aberdeen as a possible story, while I was getting my nails done at Pure Hair and Beauty in Aberdeen.

We also had a lovely picture suggested to us by Marion Bambach who was part of a guard of honour at Earl Dalley’s memorial service.

It attracted smaller readers, but people really engaged with the story.

And we were lucky to have photographer Katrina Partridge drive through Aberdeen as the storm ripped through town, her images were fabulous.

If you would like to send us a lead visit ‘Word On The Street’.
