Army Getting People on Their Feet

It was a fun night for the 50 or more volunteers here in Murrurundi for the week to help farmers and townsfolk get back on their feet.

The dinner on Monday night at the White Hart Hotel was serenaded by the Army Band amid tales told by workers of their experiences helping farmers on their first day mending fences and doing odd jobs on properties.

.Around the town work had been carried out at the local  Murrurundi school, the museum and the town park scraping down objects ready for repainting.

In the evening the back room of the White Hart Hotel played host to the visitors with free meals for the Rural Aid people.
