20160125AustraliaDayTHERE are plenty of activities happening around the Shire today, find out what is happening near you:

ABERDEEN
  • 7am – 9:30am: Grab a bacon and egg roll, made by Aberdeen Lions Club, for a gold coin donation at Aberdeen Rose Garden.
  • 9am: Enjoy a round of golf with 3 person Ambrose at the Aberdeen Golf Club.
  • 1pm: Grab some lunch and watch the Ambassador address and award ceremony at the Aberdeen Sports and Recreation Club for $20. Bookings can be made at the Club on: T: 6543 7226.
  • 4pm: Bowls at the Aberdeen Bowling Club.

 

SCONE
  • 10:30am: Ambassador address, awards ceremony and citizenship ceremony at Council Chambers on Liverpool Street. Entertainment by the Scone RSL Pipes and Drums and Scone Singers. Refreshments in the main foyer on conclusion.
  • 12 noon – 4pm: Take a swim at the Scone War Memorial Swimming Pool for free. There will be a sausage sizzle provided by Scone Lions, with Sparkles the Clown, jumping castles, novelty events and DJ music.

 

MURRURUNDI
  • 8am: Murra Country Markets
  • 11am: Grand parade
  • 12 noon: Ambassador address and awards ceremony
  • 1pm: Games, BBQ and novelty events
  • 3pm: Cricket match
  • 4pm – 7pm: Enjoy a swim with free admission

 

MERRIWA and CASSILIS
  • 11am: Ambassador address and awards ceremony – Cassilis Bowling Club
  • 12 noon: Free BBQ lunch – Cassilis Bowling Club
  • 2pm – 6pm: Take a swim at the Merriwa Pool for free
