Ms McBride had been visiting her three year old daughter Cadence at her ex-partners home.

Her ex-partner claimed Carly had left his home at 2pm to walk to McDonald’s, which is approximately one kilometre away, following an argument earlier that afternoon.

Carly’s new partner of three months, Sayle Newson, who had driven her to Muswellbrook returned to Calgarro Street to pick her up at 4:30pm to be told she had walked to McDonald’s.

Police were alerted when she failed to return to her Belmont home and she could not be located or contacted.

Carly’s Facebook account was deleted shortly before she disappeared and police are continuing to work with the Attorney General’s office and the United States Department of Justice in relation to the Facebook data, which is held in the US.

Carly was also mother to an older son William, who has a different father.
