The National Primary School Games is run by the Olympic Committee and ran for the first time last year.

Scone Basketball will be entering one boys and one girls team to play in the competition on the weekend of April 9 and 10, in Tamworth.

Danielle Brown, junior competition coordinator said she was excited to be taking teams to the event.

“It is a non-competitive competition, which means the prize for the weekend goes to the team with the best attitude and sportsmanship,” she said.

“There are lots of different sports run over the weekend and it is only the second year it has run in Tamworth, so it will be great to take some Scone children to play basketball,” said Danielle Brown.

Adult competition

Registration for the adult competition was held last night, with games commencing next week.

If you would like to register a team, or register as an individual to be placed in a team contact Danielle Fisher, Senior Competition Coordinator, M: 0409 304 525.

Draws for both competitions will be available next week and will be posted in our community section: Scone Amateur Basketball Association.
