“We sold about 340 tickets in the end, which was capacity,” she said.

“To be honest we could have sold a lot more, we had to turn people away, we had to turn prizes away, it was just huge, we could have sold 500 tickets,” she said.

“We were really overwhelmed it was just an incredible response from the community and a really special night for Ange and her family, she just can’t believe how the community has come together for her so they’re extremely grateful,” she said.

“All those people that couldn’t come still went online made a donation for the ticket price, there is a lot of generous people in this community that were all willing to get behind the cause.

“Erin Molan was a really special lady and was so generous with her time and made the night extra special for everyone, her sister had bowel cancer and a very similar story to Ange.

“It was a really big surprise for Ange to have her there, she was fantastic and made the effort to come up earlier to surprise Ange and her family at her house and meet the family before the night.

“Ange’s dad threw the hat around on the night and said if they got three thousand dollars he would shave his head, which we got,” Lisa Murphy said.
