Better Animal Production Course

Filed in Recent News by September 28, 2016

THE New South Wales Department of Primary Industries is encouraging Upper Hunter graziers to attend a free two day workshop to help producers learn to visually assess pastures and livestock and understand how feed quality and quantity impacts on animal production.

The Prograze Abridged course will be held in Scone on November 2 and 3 and led by Neil Griffiths a technical specialist in pasture production with the NSW DPI.

The course is designed to equip producers with the skills to match pasture availability to livestock needs in their production system for better feed planning and grazing management.

The course is fully funded by Hunter Local Land Services through the Australian Government’s National Landcare program and places are limited to two members from each farm business.
