BIDDING opened last night on ebay for the Where There’s A Will silks worn by Robert Thompson in the inaugural TAB Everest horse race and signed by all 12 jockeys in the main Everest race.

Polly Yuille from the Where There’s A Will Foundation said it was a great piece of sports memorabilia.

“If you are a sports fan this is a big deal, silks from the first Everest signed by all for the big names in racing,” said Ms Yuille.

“Robert Thompson wore the silks in the TAB Everest, which is the regional race at Everest, when he rode After All That,” she said.

“After the race Rod Northam arranged for all 12 jockeys in the main Everest race to sign the silks,” she said.

“It is an amazing piece of sports memorabilia from such an important inaugural race meeting,” Polly Yuille said.

The bidding will close before the final race at Scone on Friday.

The proceeds will go to the Where There’s A Will Foundation.
