New South Wales Rural Fire Service, including crews from Kingdon Ponds Rural Fire Service, are working to put out the fire on Brawboy Road with the assistance of two aircraft crews.

The fire is currently covering approximately 100 hectares and crews are working to prevent the fire burning into inaccessible terrain.

Within the last hour, the fire has been upgraded to Watch & Act status by the NSW Rural Fire Service, with local residents urged to stand by and be prepared.

There are isolated properties in the area, however they are not at threat at this stage
