Filed in Recent News by April 3, 2016

THE grass fire in Brawboy, 40km north-west of Scone, has burnt through 2166 hectares overnight.

At 5.30a.m. this morning, the NSW Rural Fire Serviced advised the fire is being controlled. The status of the fire was changed from a grass fire to a bush fire.

With temperatures set to reach a top of 29 degrees today, crews will be working hard to keep the blaze under control.

Last night, the fire moved into inaccessible country after crews and two aircraft worked through the afternoon.

There are isolated properties in the area, however there is no direct threat to any homes.
