Busy in the Shed

THE members of the Aberdeen Men’s Shed are busy doing a range of projects for the local community and are getting organised for the Big Boys Toys, which will be on September 3.

Paul Hobbs, secretary for the Aberdeen Men’s Shed said the picnic tables they have made had proved popular.

“We built four picnic tables and they are down at the rodeo ground,” said Mr Hobbs.

“Aberdeen Hidden Treasures donated another table and we will put the next one at the cemetery,” he said.

“The old tennis club has now become a childcare and there was an old cubby next to the building which needed some work, but we decided to do another cubby for the kids,” he said.

“We are also making a portable stage for the Scone Neighbourhood Centre,” he said.

New members are always welcome to lend a hand or drop by for a cup of tea and a chat.
