IN the last 24 hours until 9am this morning the Bureau of Meteorology recorded the highest rainfall in the state at Cassilis with 128ml in the gauge. With many locations already exceeding their monthly rainfall average.

The rain is from the left over moisture in cyclone Trevor which is being pulled down by a strong cold front. There is some cooler weather on the way with a south easterly, clearing the rain into this afternoon and taking the region back to cool and dry weather.

Rainfalls until 9am this morning:

  • Aberdeen: 72ml
  • Bunnan: 101ml
  • Cassilis: 128ml
  • Merriwa: 105ml
  • Murrurundi Gap: 45ml
