Only Chance to Meet the Candidates

THE newly formed group, Concerned Women of the Upper Hunter, are holding what is believed to be the only candidates’ forum in the Upper Hunter Shire area on Tuesday, May 7 in Murrurundi.

Pammie Seccombe, spokesperson for the group said they wanted the people of the Upper Hunter to have the opportunity to meet the candidates in the federal election.

“(It’s) about giving the people of the Upper Hunter the opportunity to ask the tough questions and let all the candidates know what matters to them and their families,” said Ms Seccombe.

“The stakes are high. It’s important that we have all the information on what matters to make sure that the best candidate is elected to represent the views of the Upper Hunter,” Pammie Seccombe said.

All candidates have been invited to the forum, to date only Barnaby Joyce has said he is unable to attend.
