THE Bishop family of Bunnan have announced the sale of their family property, Kuro Kin Wagyu at Bunnan to the Dashang Group, one of China’s largest supermarket and department store retailers.

The property which has been in the family for more than 100 years has successfully focused in the last 20 years on producing wagyu beef for sale throughout Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

Dashang operates in Australia as Australia Aulong Auniu Wang and since 2015 has also acquired Glenrock Station near Scone and Clear Hills at Captain’s Flat near Canberra.

The Chinese buyer has purchased the property to establish supply lines of high quality beef from Australia.

It aims to produce Angus cattle for the live export market into China, along with high quality Wagyu boxed beef.
