Chopper Tasked to Murrurundi

THE Westpac Rescue Helicopter is on route to Murrurundi to care for a 78 male who has been impaled on a fence picket.

UPDATE: The Westpac Rescue Helicopter is meeting an ambulance at Muswellbrook Hospital transporting a 78 year old male with a penetrating chest wound sustained in an incident with a garden stake at a property in Murrurundi.

He will be taken to the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.
