THE Westpac Rescue Helicopter has been tasked to the Timor area, north of Scone, for a car which has gone off a cliff.

UPDATE 6:44pm: Both the Newcastle and Tamworth choppers were tasked to a private property on Waverley Road at Timor. The Newcastle chopper returned to base after confirmation that three adults in the car were deceased. The medical crew on the Tamworth aircraft are currently treating a five year old boy who survived the accident. It is believed members of the family went searching for the vehicle today and found it.

UPDATE 7:17pm: The five year old boy is being flown to the Scott Memorial Hospital in Scone suffering minor injuries. He will then be transported to the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle. The chopper service has confirmed the accident happened today, not yesterday as they initially reported.
