MORE than 600 people gathered in Elizabeth Park on Saturday afternoon to celebrate Christmas as a community.

Lee Watts, manager of the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre said this year was bigger than ever.

“The rides were definitely the biggest hit this year,” said Mrs Watts.

“The music was brilliant and the stall holders I spoke with said there was lots of people buying,” she said.

“It is wonderful to see this event grow and more people come together to celebrate Christmas in the Park,” she said.

“The Christmas movie after dark is becoming a bit of a tradition for some families which is lovely to see,” Lee Watts said.
