THE Inner Wheel Club of Scone are encouraging people to give a coin for cord blood research and support their Mother’s Day raffle on Thursday, May 11 and Saturday, May 13.

Carol Scaramuzzi, treasurer for Inner Wheel Scone said they support cord blood research because of how it can help critically ill children with acute leukaemia and other medical conditions.

“Please help us to continue raising funds for this worthwhile cause by purchasing a piece of our Cord Blood merchandise or by giving a donation,” Ms Scaramuzzi.

“Thursday we will be outside The Reject Shop on Kelly Street and Saturday we will be at Coles Supermarket,” she said.

“We will also have a Mother’s Day raffle of a luxurious throw purchased from Club member donations and a watercolour painting.

“We meet on the first Monday of each month at 6.30 pm at the Royal hotel on Kelly St, Scone and have a morning tea get together once a month,” she said

“We offer friendship to women of all ages and organise social and fundraising events that support the local community, and national and international projects to improve women and children’s way of life,” Carol Scaramuzzi said.
