Council Election Update

Filed in Recent News by September 13, 2016

THE progressive quota at 5:13pm yesterday was 757 votes for a seat on the Upper Hunter Shire Council.

Only three candidates have passed the threshold: Lee Watts with 2,051 votes, Maurice Collison with 1.064 votes and Wayne Bedggood with 875 votes.

Pre-poll and postal votes are still being counted.

Once preferences are apportioned the candidates with the least amount of votes will be eliminated and their votes will be passed to preferences on the ballot.
