The Upper Hunter District Cricket Association Annual General Meeting has just been held and there is much good news.

Robert Ryan has been elected as a Life Member of the Upper Hunter Cricket Association, following many years – as a player, administrator and being the resident groundsman for a decade or more, he was unanimously voted to the Life Member position.

Along with the new Life Member, this year saw the President for the previous three years, Brad McCosker, retire from the position.

The player to step up to fill the position is Gavin Newton Smith.

Another major change will be the absence of the Bunnan club from this year’s competition.

Team nominations will take place over the next few weeks, but will include Warriors, Aberdeen, Murrurundi, Bulls, Rouchel, with talk of other teams also being formed.

Early seasons games are to take place on McNab and Boyd Ovals – on Sunday Sept 17th, with games being conducted by the Northern Districts.
