Dance for the Neighbourhood

LEE Watts, manager of the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre is encouraging people to dust off their dancing shoes and enjoy a night at the Wingen Hall with the Ray Boys band to raise money for the Centre.

“We are very excited and dusting off our shoes and we’ll go boot scooting,” said Ms Watts.

“The organisers know we have been fundraising and they thought it was a good opportunity to help us raise funds to relocate the service and expand what we can do for the community,” she said.

“They have also been selling raffle tickets which is great,” she said.

“After the auction we raised $20,000 but there is a long way to go.

“We do a lot for the community and hopefully we will find a better spot to keep going,” she said.

“We’ll need a few people to come to the Ray Boys to help top up the amount again,” Lee Watts said.

  • WHEN: 8pm – midnight, Saturday, September 16.
