Don’t Forget the Daffoldils

Filed in Recent News by August 25, 2017

TODAY is Daffodil Day and local volunteers from the Scone and District Cancer Support Group will be out in force pounding the pavement.

Pam Saunderson-McLeay, publicity officer for the Support Group said they will have more than 30 volunteers ready to sell a daffodil.

“We’ll be outside the Reject Shop and in Coles at Scone and there will also be volunteers in Aberdeen at the Aberdeen Village,” said Ms Saunderson-McLeay.

“There will be ‘street walkers’ visiting all of the businesses in town and they’ll also go out to the industrial estate so that nobody misses out,” she said.

All of the proceeds go to the New South Wales Cancer Council.
