Drought Support at Springtime Show

LOCAL Land Services will be on hand at the Merriwa Springtime Show tomorrow to help farmers with the latest in farm technology and drought support assistance.

There will be a series of presentations between 10am and 2pm, with times for each presentation available at the front gate, including:

  • A beginners guide and the power of data in agriculture – Adrian Roles from JMAJ Precision Agriculture Solutions;
  • Commercial precision agriculture – Finding the right tools for the right job – Andrew Cory from Vantage NSW;
  • Affordable solar – powering a 12 volt fence energiser;
  • Hi-tech on-farm – remote monitoring of electric fences and water troughs;
  • Smart paddock – GPS ear tags for livestock tracing;
  • Farm mapping with drone display – book for a workshop near you;
  • Drought management advice – Loretta Serafin, Department of Primary Industry district agronomist;
  • SEE Rural Financial counsellor – Angela Hayes;
  • Buy a Bale local counsellor – Garry Bently, and
  • Local Land Services – Collect information and advice.

The Merriwa Springtime Show begins today and finishes on Sunday afternoon.
