Eat a Sausage for Charity

Filed in Recent News by May 12, 2016

TODAY at 11am the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre will fire up the BBQ to raise money for people in need in our community.

Lee Watts, manager of the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre said by donating some money for a sausage you will help ensure people in our community don’t go to bed hungry.

“This year we will make sure we have plenty of sausages for the hungry mobs as last year we were eaten out of supplies in under two hours,” said Mrs Watts.

“We are also encouraging people that are able to contribute an additional food item to do so when shopping, the item can be dropped into the box available at the Centre’s foyer and will help those a little less fortunate than ourselves,” she said.

“Nobody deserves to go to bed hungry and the food drive will help out families in this community to have a meal they might have had to go without,” Lee Watts said.

The sausages will be sizzling from 11am at the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre, 130 Liverpool Street, Scone.
