Matthew Bolton was one of the most extraordinary figures of the 18th Century. An entrepreneur and industrialist of brilliance, a visionary who changed the nature of manufacturing, Bolton stands at the very centre of the industrial and intellectual revolution which laid the foundations of the modern world.
Martin is an experienced curator, lecturer and broadcaster. He has wide-ranging expertise in the applied arts and has acted as a specialist advisor to research programmes and universities.
