THREE days of shaping, forging, fusion welding and bending were on show when the Professional Farriers Association of NSW held State Championships at White Park as part of the Scone Horse Festival.

The event co-ordinated by PFANSW secretary James Balfe and PFANSW president and competitor Mick Fitzgerald ran for three days and culminated on Sunday.

There were categories for Novice Intermediate and Open with 35 competitors in all taking the floor.

Some of the competitors make their own tools for use in competition and professionally.

The judging duties for the competition was left up to Mick Saunders from Western Australia an accomplished farrier himself.
