Other members have taken on a range of responsibilities for activities throughout next years festival and new ideas are already being put forward including the viability of a vintage car display and the 100th anniversary of the light horse.

Lee Watts reported on a successful festival this year including record numbers at some events, the positive response to cutting the festival from 17 days back to 11 days, a rise in sponsorship and she read several letters from the community thanking the committee for their hard work.

The committee requested Council increase their sponsorship of the event and Council has committed to providing $8,000 for the upcoming festival.

In the next few months there will be a board erected at the Scone Visitor Information Centre to recognise the list of young achievers for the Festival.

If you would like to be part of planning the festival, meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 6pm at the Scone Council Chambers.
