Getting Scone Job Ready

THE Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre has partnered with Australian Training and Consulting (ATAC) based in Tamworth to offer short courses in Scone to help local people gain more work skills.

Lee Watts, manager of the Centre said they were excited to offer the training locally.

“It is a great opportunity for people to gain skills for employment,” said Ms Watts.

“It can be hard for people to travel out of town for courses, so we thought we’d bring the courses to them,” she said.

“There are plenty of people in our community who want work, or who want to change jobs so this can really help them,” Lee Watts said.

The accredited courses include:

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol – 14 May 2018: 9am – 4pm
  • RCG: Responsible Conduct of Gambling – 15 May 2018: 9am – 4pm
  • White Card: WHS Construction Induction – 21 May 2018: 9am – 3pm
  • Combines Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control Plan (The old Blue & Yellow Card) – 25 & 26 June 2018: 9am – 4pm
  • NSW Food Safety Supervisors (Includes Combined Food Handling Level 1 & 2) – 3 July 2018: 9am – 5pm
