“We won five out of seven games on the first day and also five out off seven on the second day, but today we have one win, one draw and five losses,” said Ms Rando.

“The losses were to the top five teams, so today was our hardest day, but the girls fought really hard and gave 110 percent each game,” she said.

“It is a huge achievement to come eighth out of 21 teams across the state, especially considering we have 10 to 12 girls to pick from compared to some teams that have nearly 100 girls try out for the bigger teams,” she said.

“It is such an amazing effort for our small town,” she said.

“The girls all had a great time and we can be really proud of them,” said Derrian Rando.
