Highland Games Thanks SES

Filed in Recent News by August 3, 2017

THE Aberdeen SES has been helping the Highland Games for many years and their help this year was recognised by the Highland Games organisers who have donated to them to help improve their facilities.

Tim McElroy, unit controller at the Aberdeen SES appreciates the recognition for his members and that the money donated will go towards a roller door to put in their shed to improve the units capabilities.

“It’s fantastic for the members to be recognised for their work,” Tim McElroy said.

“The money we want to use to put another roller door in the shed, we would have had to do a grant application otherwise so it has made it a lot quicker and we will be able to put the roller door in a lot sooner.

“We are going to put the extra door in the back so we can drive through, it helps better the capability for the unit.

“We have been doing the Highland Games ever since it started, it’s all volunteer and they donate to us every year for the hours we on the lead up to and during the day.

“We are looking forward to helping out at next years event and into the future,” said Tim  McElroy.
