TO help local residents keep their scooters in good working order the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre has booked in a scooter technician to visit Scone.

Lee Watts, manager of the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre said they try to book the technician to visit every three months.

“It is important to take advantage of the technician being in town and take your scooter in for a service, so that any problems are found before you find yourself broken down,” said Ms Watts.

“We are able to contact the technician in an emergency, but it is much simpler to ensure you regularly maintain the scooter,” she said.

“Scooters are great for local residents to use and stay mobile, it keeps people active and independent so that they can go to places under their own steam,” she said.

The Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre also has an emergency scooter for hire.
