TWO sets of triplets were born at St Joseph’s High School in Aberdeen yesterday kicking off a bumper spring lambing rate.

Lisa Bright, head of agriculture at St Joseph’s said while triplets were not unheard of , two sets of triplets born on the same day was a surprise.

“It makes our lambing stats pretty good,” laughed Ms Bright.

“i mean to have two ewes produce six lambs that’s a 300 percent lambing rate which is great,” she said.

“We only have 15 sheep so things are going well this spring,” she said.

“It is odd during a drought to have multiple births and we’ve also had a cow recently have two calves,” Lisa Bright said.

Lisa had hoped to get a photograph of the two sets of triplets but it proved too tricky.
