LASERS were blazing and children were ducking for cover as more than 100 local youth enjoyed laser tag last Friday at the Bill Rose Sports Complex in Scone.

The laser tag fun was organised by the Upper Hunter Shire Council with transport and pizza thrown in for good measure.

An afternoon session was held for children under 12 years of age, while the older children were able to use the cover of darkness for their attacks.

Fergus Hartman, who fired his way through the afternoon session said it was great fun.

“It was well set up, everyone got a fair share and a good turn,” said Fergus Hartman.

“They had all the little bases and check points, they were all good tests,” he said.

“I had two rounds, in the first round I shot six and in the second I shot nine.

“In the first round I was shot four times and in the second round only three,” he said.

“The hardest thing is when you shoot someone it has to be the head, and it’s small, so a bigger target would be better,” Fergus Hartman said.
