Letter: Great Cycle Thank You

THANK YOU to the people of Scone and surrounds.

For the month of October I have pedaled my cycle around the area. I did this to raise money in the  Great Cycle Challenge, collecting donations and sponsors to get funds for research into kids cancer.

Throughout the month I rode more than 750km, and raised $620.

This is the third year I have participated in this Challenge. In each of the previous years I have managed to ride over 1000km during the month, and raised around the $1K each year

Thanks to all the car and truck drivers who I shared the road with. All were very nice and gave me no problems at all.

My grand children also participated this year, and the kids each rode over 20km each day for the four days of their visit to Scone.

They enjoyed using the wonderful sporting facilities, that their Mum had enjoyed as she grew up here in Scone.

They rode out to a farm, and were introduced to 2 lovely calves and some horses, then were rewarded by a drink at Macas on the hot ride home.
