Man Killed May Have Been Hitch-Hiking

A pedestrian killed on the New England Highway approximately five kilometres south of Aberdeen this morning police believe may have been hitch hiking between Aberdeen and Muswellbrook.

Police have been unable to identify the man and are appealing to the public to assist in their investigations, including anyone who saw the man before 4:30am.

The 18 year old woman driving the white two door Mitsubishi Lancer sedan did not sustain any physical injuries, but was take to Muswellbrook hospital to be treated for shock and for mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
