Manhunt for Singleton Escapee

POLICE are asking for community assistance in locating Jay Bill Mason, aged 26, who escaped from police custody at Singleton Police Station today at approximately 2:30pm.

Mr Mason is wanted on outstanding warrants for breach of parole order and revocation of intensive correction order, with police from Hunter Local Area Command and PolAir searching for him.

He was last seen shirtless, wearing navy blue shorts with a floral print and white ankle sock running past a bottle shop on George Street, Singleton.

Mr Mason is of Caucasian appearance, 195-200cm tall, of thin build, brown hair in a mullet, wearing a Jim Beam tattoo on his back an RIP tattoo on his arm, a full sleeve tattoo on his left arm and tattoos on his chest.

He is known to frequent the Singleton Heights area.

The public is urged NOT to approach Mr Mason and report any sightings to Muswellbrook Area Command 02 6542 6999 or Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au.
