Mark Dick, president of the Upper Hunter Motorcycle Club was delighted with the track.

“The Club has been inactive for three years due to funding issues and now we hope to establish a social track where riders can practice on a well maintained track,” said Mr Dick.

“No race meetings will be held by the Upper Hunter Motorcycle Club due to licensing restrictions, however Denman club will hire the track for three race events throughout the year, with the first one on March 13,” he said.

“A lot of local businesses have spent a great deal of time and money getting the track and club facilities up to scratch.

“More than $100,000 of machinery hire was donated by Max Hire, $15,000 on irrigation systems and plumbing with 100 sprinklers around the track ensuring dust is kept to a minimum,” he said.

“The upgraded motocross track is 1500 metres long and there is also an 800 metre nippers track for peewees,” Mark Dick said.

The Club would like to thank Max Hire, Tutt Bryant, JMG Maintenance and Fabrication, PPS, Garlick’s Hardware, I can dig it Excavations, Melo Services and Fordham Property Detailing.
