Murrurundi Ready to Hang

MORE than 60 entries have been received for this year’s Murrurundi Art Prize and organisers are looking forward to another great exhibition, said Mandy Archibald president of the Murrurundi and District Arts Council.

“We are really happy and excited by the number of works we have again this year and there are lots of helpers to make this year another success,” said Ms Archibald.

“We have entries from throughout the local area from the postcodes we accept, from Denman, Merriwa, Muswellbrook and so forth,” she said.

“We will start hanging the works on Tuesday and our opening night will be on Friday,” she said.

“The judge this year is John Bradley who has recently moved to town and has been teaching art for 40 years,” Mandy Archibald said.
