TAKING photos of kindergarten students is often like herding cats and while it is one thing to get them to the photo location and into lines, managing to get them all looking at the camera at the same time is no mean feat.
In this case the students were not in unison so we have run three photos.
There are 27 kindergarten students in kindergarten at Aberdeen Primary school this year and one of their teachers Hannah Hunt said she is amazed the students are so school ready.
“They have settled in really easily, are independent and there were limited tears on the first day,” said Ms Hunt.
“They have already gone straight into reading groups, can open their own lunch boxes, they are managing wonderfully,” she said.
“We have a ten week orientation program where they come to the school for three hours on a Wednesday so they are completely ready to launch into the school year when it begins,” Hannah Hunt said.
