Not Enough to Register

THERE have been some light showers in the Upper Hunter, but not enough to register in the Bureau of Meteorology’s rain gauges.

Tropical cyclone Oma is the main influence for the coastal region, bringing some south-easterly winds and light rainfall.

The cyclone is not moving anywhere in a hurry and it is predicted to head back in a northerly direction.

The cyclone is only expected to bring cloud cover and a light shower to the Upper Hunter over the weekend.

Rainfall in the 24 hours until 8am this morning was 0 in all gauges across the Upper Hunter.
