Open Season in the Open Air

ON Saturday the Scone Neighbourhood Centre will present the family movie “Open Season” under the stars at Scone Park.

Lee Watts manager of the Centre said the weather was perfect for a family night out.

“I am looking forward to families joining me to meet Boog a 900-pound grizzly bear,” said Mrs Watts.

“This is a family friendly night with the movie kicking off at dark between 7.30 and 8.00pm,” she said.

“Bring a bean bag, blanket or chair and enjoy the movie under the stars and snacks will be available on site,” Lee Watts said.

About the movie: Boog, a 900 pound grizzly bear, is content entertaining tourists and living in park ranger Beth’s barn however his life takes a drastic turn when he rescues a one-horned mule deer named Elliot from a hunter, and is subsequently tranquilized and returned to the wild. Elliot and Boog recruit the other animals, to help turn the tables on the hunters to make the woods safe.

  • WHEN: Begins 7:30pm-8pm, Saturday, November 26.
  • WHERE: Scone Park, Hill Street, Scone.
  • COST: $15 for family of four and $5 for a single pass payable on entry.
