PAC Assessing Dartbrook

THE commissioners appointed to assess the Dartbrook mine modification application have toured the mine today and met with the Upper Hunter Shire Council and Muswellbrook Shire Council, before hearing from residents at tomorrow’s meeting in Muswellbrook.

There are 49 people registered to speak at the meeting, but submissions can be made to the Planning Assessment Commission by post or on their website for seven days after the meeting: Have Your Say.

The Commissioners on the PAC include Chair, Zada Lipman, with Peter Cochrane and Ross Carter.

Typically the Commission makes a determination within one month of the public meeting, however more time may be required if the Commissioners require further information to make their decision.

The proponent, Australian Pacific Coal is registered to given their submission at the opening of the meeting.
