While there were many retirees viewing the villas, there were also younger people who were interested in seeing what was available for older family members.

Kim Cone whose father is currently in Strathearn Village was interested in what was on offer at the new facility.

“The villas are perfect for an older couple coming into town,” said Ms Cone.

“If they want to go away it is all secure, the gardens are looked after and it is really great to see what is in our community,” she said.

“I’d recommend it because there are people around for help and support as people get older,” she said.
