CARLY’s mother Lorraine Williams said today at a media conference in Newcastle, “you don’t want the phone call coming to you, you don’t want the shock, but then again the waiting is over for Carly now and she can come home and we can give Carly the dignity and respect she deserves.”

“It’s the beginning of our healing and for the children too,” she said.

They thanked the people who continue to work so hard on their daughter’s case and made an imp

“The first thing I’ve got to say is we are so thankful to the men and women who have worked on Carly’s case including volunteer people we are so impressed with their work and the outcome so far that I could never thank them enough,” said Mr Mc Bride.

“Certainly at this stage we didn’t expect to ever have, having Carly back is pretty well everything to us,” she said.

“Hopefully the rest of this investigation is aided by what may have been found there already we still need as much as help as we can get,” he said.

“There is still someone out there that could be the last little piece of this puzzle and hopefully we’ll get the whole thing sown up one day, but just to have Carly is a major step for us we can’t believe it,” said Steve McBride.

Lorraine added, “please come forward with anything, because we still need to know who has done this to our baby.”

“It doesn’t matter how small please contact the Police or Crime stoppers,” she said.

Steve McBride said he could not understand what kind of person would harm Carly, but believes they

“She was an absolute character, very loved and very popular; certainly never deserving of anything to go wrong and it shocked us when someone may have done something terrible to her and that was something we never thought could happen because she was a very, very well loved person,” he said.

“It’s hard for me to get my head around that whoever they are has been able to get this far and it’s a certain type of person that I wouldn’t have a clue about how they haven’t slipped up somewhere, hopefully they will,” Steve McBride said.

Inspector Guy Guiana said the new evidence which has been found could lead to a quick breakthrough, but they are prepared to work on the case for as long as it takes.

“We haven’t ruled anybody out at this stage, with the new evidence we’ve got from the discovery it’s going to take us a little bit of time to sort through that and see what we’ve got, but certainly very keen to get onto it and we will be speaking to people we have spoken to before and we are hoping for a quick result but we are certainly ready to go the long run if we have to,” said Inspector Guiana.

“But as Steve and Lorraine said somebody knows something and we want them to come forward before we have to go to them,” Guy Guiana said.
