Parkville Accident: Update

THE Westpac Rescue Helicopter is on scene at a two car accident north of Parkville on the New England Highway, which occurred at approximately 7:15am.

A 32 year old male who was the driver of a vehicle which rolled several times has relatively minor injuries, is stable and will be transported by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter to the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.

The Wesptac crew have explained while the man has relatively minor injuries they are transporting him for further assessment at the John Hunter, due to the nature of the accident.

Another two patients are being taken by road ambulance to the Scott Memorial Hospital in Scone.

Both vehicles are off the road and traffic is flowing, however motorists are advised to expect delays.

The highway may be closed later today when the vehicles are removed from scene.
